YANA ALANA Saturday 7 February 4pm
‘She’s frightening, alarming, but very, very funny.’ Melbourne Star
A performance poet and lady-of-certain-talents, Yana Alana is an old fashioned diva with a potty mouth and an outlook which is female-centric and decidedly not politically correct.
Yana Alana is the alter ego of Sarah Ward, also known as MC Sheila from SistaShe. A night with Yana may include tantrums, the hurling of targeted abuse, divine singing, acrobatic dancing and some incisive home truths. She has certainly devoured the boy in flamboyant.
Winner of the Melbourne Fringe Cabaret Award 2007
BITE ME nominated for 7 Green Room awards
**Please note - this session may contain nudity and coarse language**
so please book and rsvp here. you are responsible for your own booking.
Let's meet about 3.30pm at the club as seating is usually crowded.

Some more pics from our participants!
Well the Weather for saturday is looking a touch average but we will soldier one because you just never know what melbourne will throw at you! there are sheltered spots at the Convent which will provide a place to hide if the rain hits. Anyway a trip to the dollar shop is always a good idea to find a poncho!
taccolina has shared her drawings from the day on her blog - click here.
Karen sent me some of her lovely photos via Tacolina (bev) which I will share with you here.

And a mailing list...
One last thing before we set off tomorrow, I've created a mailing list for those who like to stay in touch that way - it's a google group so conversation is able to be had rather than an announcement only mailing list.
I would encourage people to join especially if they are interested in the community aspect of the sketchrawl.
I know some of you are aware of my hope to extend this group beyound quarterly crawls and into a more regular drawing group. This is one way i hope to acheive this.
Group name: SketchCrawl Melbourne
* Group home page: http://groups.google.com.au/group/sketchcrawl-melbourne
* Group email address sketchcrawl-melbourne@googlegroups.com
Again - see you tomorrow - 10am outside the state library corner swanston and la traboe sts.
